Kids, Eat Your Product!

A Facebook post by McDonald’s

That CEO video was… uhm… cringe at best.

McDonald’s quickly leaned into the online joke about its CEO’s awkward viral Big Arch taste video.

I have worked for public trading companies in America, and hooo-boy. Don’t think for a second that McDonald’s marketing team saw this as an opportunity. The amount of legal hoops they have to jump through at that company is unreal.

A communication crisis team got this fast tracked. And well done to them 👏

Some people have worked overtime for sure.

I don’t know whose idea it was to put McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski in front of the camera, but if someone had spent 2 minutes with him prior to rolling camera they could have avoided this. Just saying.

Hopefully Mr Kempczinski can take this on his chin better than his greasy… product.
