Typefaces I’ve Fallen in Love with Recently
September 17, 2025
F37 Beckett

Unapologetically based on the Ministry of Transport signage, used in the UK from the 1930s - 1960s. Created with love in the UK by Rick Banks at F37 Foundry.
Termina

Generously wide and perfect for those print jobs where you can play around with various sizes. High x-height and wide letterforms help retain legibility and readability at smaller sizes. Go have a look at Termina by Mattoz Schuler at Fort Foundry.
Rift
Another one from Fort Foundry, and what can I say, I am a total sucker for well-designed all caps. It even has some soft alternates.

Cartridge

Dan Cederholm just keeps churning out typefaces at SimpleBits that I adore. And my love for his types runs deep, I have used his Free Lunch for the Sailors & Mermaids logo. Hell yes. Cartridge is clearly inspired by old video game labels, and somehow Dan managed to really dial in to that nostalgic feel of gaming in the 1980s. Yes, I bought it.
Tiempos

Warm curves and sharp details and perfect for editorial work. Headlines and body text in legible typesetting? Check. A little bit on the costly side of things? Also check. Tiempos from Klim Type Foundry.
